Capping Test Rig in detail
The project involved developing a LabVIEW-based system for Windows PCs, using a National Instruments signal interface. The solution was adopted by a leading multinational in the food & beverage sector.
The main features of this system include control of a test bench for capping bottles with crown caps for CSD products (carbonated soft drink). It can also accurately measure the relationship between the load and the displacement of the capping piston, in order to optimize the geometry and the caps for sealing, precision, cleanliness and durability.
